Our 2003 Merlot is produced from 100% Rutherford Appellation grapes. This wine has been aged in French Oak barrels from the unique forest in Northern France called Jupilles. Hand selected staves produced a balanced rich flavor of oak that enhances the superior style of this wine. Aromas of plum, cherry, cedar, and clove make for a great bouquet. Flavors of cherries, black licorice, and other spices and a hint of mocha compliment an exquisite-creamy finish highlighted by cherries, black licorice and hints of "Jupilles" French Oak. The wine has the potential to age gracefully.
